title: ‘I was lounging under a tree. Then a jeep stopped’
description: "‘I was peacefully lounging in the shade of the tree next to my house,’ says Christelle (25) 'Inside the house my milk-drunk baby was sleeping, she was only a week old.

I was tired and grateful for the peace and quiet, until suddenly a jeep stopped. Three soldiers got out. They pulled me in roughly and raped me, one after another. Then they patted each other on the shoulder laughing and left.'

‘My husband found me in tears ‘My life is broken,’ I told him. At Mamas for Africa we found help. There I talk to fellow survivors and learn about women's rights. I don't want this to happen to my little daughter later on.'"
